About our services
Are you a lawyer?
Insaf Legal Services provides paralegal and notary services. Paralegals licensed by the Law Society of Ontario may represent clients in specific areas such as Small Claims Court, provincial offences and many tribunals. We will always tell you if your matter needs a lawyer.
What does a first consultation involve?
We listen, review your documents and explain your options, likely costs and next steps. If we are not the right fit, we will say so.
How much do your services cost?
Fees depend on the service and complexity of your matter. We explain fees clearly in writing before you commit, with no surprise charges.
How do I contact you securely?
Use our contact form. Please avoid sending sensitive documents by unencrypted email until we have confirmed a secure method with you.
Courts and tribunals
Will I have to attend my hearing?
In most cases we can appear for you, though some proceedings require the party to attend. We will advise in advance.
What if I have already missed a deadline?
Contact us immediately. There are sometimes options to extend time, set aside a default or reopen a matter, but they are time sensitive.
Documents and notary
What ID do I need for notarization?
Valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID such as a passport or driver's licence. Some documents require two pieces of ID.
Can you notarize remotely?
Availability of remote notarization depends on current rules and the receiving party's requirements. Contact us to check for your document.
Not sure where to start?
Tell us what is going on. We will explain your options in plain language and let you know honestly whether we can help.
